Ulassai: plateaus, caves, art
A reference point for climbing and trekking enthusiasts, the limestone plateaus of Ogliastra called Tacchi extend to the territory of Ulassai, a mountain village famous for its caves Su Marmuri.
The cave, formed 150 million years ago thanks to the power of water, extends along the rocky outcrop for 850 meters.
The guided tour, of about an hour, takes place along an underground road, crossing a series of "rooms". Here the majestic walls alternate with freshwater ponds which, as mirrors, reflect the colours and the power of nature.
Along the way you can admire changing contours, stalactites and stalagmites shaped by the incessant trickle of water.
